I am Raciel Govea. I am the licensed builder behind GRV Construction in Vero Beach, and I am the one who signs off on the work we do.

That matters, so I will say it plainly. GRV holds Florida Certified Building Contractor license CBC1270230. It is active, it is in my name, and you can verify CBC1270230 yourself before you ever call us. On a project that runs weeks and touches your home, you should know exactly who is accountable. It is me.

The Way We Handle a Problem We Did Not Expect

The truest thing I can tell you about how we work is what happens when something goes wrong.

On one full remodel, we told the homeowner three weeks. Midway through the job, we found a problem in the subfloor — the kind of thing that is easy to cover up and finish on time, and hard to stop and fix right. We stopped. We told her. We fixed it. The project still finished in two and a half weeks, ahead of what we quoted.

Here is what she wrote, and here is what I wrote back:

“The whole thing was gutted — plumbing, tile, fixtures, the works. They said three weeks. Done in two and a half.”

“The subfloor situation is exactly the kind of thing we'd rather stop and handle right than cover up — glad that came through. Means a lot that you noticed the difference.”

That is the standard. When we find something behind a wall or under a floor that you could not have known about, you hear it from us — even when telling you costs us time on the schedule. That is what I mean when I say no surprises.
